Established in 2004 by the Japan Men’s Fashion Association as part of a youth development program to support emerging creators, the Best Debutant Award is now in its 22nd year. From among creators and artists making their debut, those whose activities over the past year have earned support from society, culture, the industry, and the general public — and from whom great things are expected — are selected across categories including fashion, artist, and music.
