Although Shinjuku is lined with buildings, it is actually a place where “dyeing” has long been a local industry. Dyeing industries such as “Tokyo Dye Komon,” a traditional craft designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, and “Tokyo Tegaki Yuzen” are located in the area. The exhibition and sale of such dyed goods, which Shinjuku is proud of, will be held. An event where visitors can experience dyeing will also be held.
