Experience the richness of life created by the warmth of wooden furniture
Feel the warmth of high-quality wooden furniture from Hokkaido in Shinjuku.
Higashikawa Town in Hokkaido is a “town of furniture and crafts. Furniture and craft products made here bring richness and warmth to our lives. Higashikawa is also a cultural town that declared itself a “town of photography” in 1985, before the widespread use of camera phones and smart phones, and has worked to foster a photography culture through such events as the International Photography Festival.
This year’s event will feature an exhibition of products and talk events that will allow visitors to experience the excellence of Higashikawa’s furniture. In addition to woodworking workshops, sales of local products, and a rice scooping event, a commemorative photo giveaway will be held as a special event unique to the “Town of Photography.
The event will provide an opportunity for visitors to experience the culture of Higashikawa Town, which is located in the center of Tokyo’s 23 wards, and introduce the town to visitors in Shinjuku, a city located in the center of Hokkaido.
